Numbers & Words
Numbers & Words
First the words.
Destined
to inflame and incite
prejudice and deny.
“ a swarm of people.”
“marauding” migrants pose
a threat to our very existence.
Uttered by the great and good.
Prime Minister
Foreign Secretary
Great and Good?
But now the numbers that bear no relation to the words.
Where is the labour party stating the obvious?
Obviously quiet.
They just can’t be trusted on immigration.
Or is it they just can’t articulate a human response
that will resound on a deeper level with the British Public.
Is it just not possible?
185, 000 first time asylum seekers in the EU
in the first quarter of the 2015.
Half are Kosovars, Syrians and Afghans.
You can understand why.
Only 4% of those applied to the UK.
It’s not migrants who are the marauders and plunderers

Yet the Grouse Shooting Lobby would like to see a return to this situation except many of those species didn’t survive into the twentieth century in the UK and have actually had to be reintroduced.

ITS NOT THE VOTES
IT’S
NOT
THE
VOTES.
IT’S
THE
VOTING SYSTEM
WHAT
WON
IT!
The Imperial Measures
System
of
votes
and
seats
36.9 % voted Conservative
63.1% didn’t vote for them
Only 66.1% voted
Thus the Government
represent
25%
or
thereabouts
of the electorate
But He says
He represents the British People!
11,334,576 votes = 331 seats
9,347,304 votes = 232 seats
6.4% Difference in vote = 100 seats
3,881,099 votes = 1 seat
2,415,862 votes = 8 seats
1,454,862 votes = 56 seats
1,157,613 votes = 1 seat
184,260 = 8 seats
176,232 votes = 4 seats
This
a bit at odds with
12 Inches = 1 Ft
3 Ft = 1Yard
22 Yards = 1 Chain
10 Chains = 1 Furlong
8 Furlongs = 1 Mile
3 Miles = 1 League
Something gone awry.
It’s just not cricket!
IT’S
NOT
THE
VOTES
IT”S
THE
VOTING SYSTEM
WHAT
WON
IT!

A conscience?
Michael Rosen asked this week.
How the hell did they get away with it?
Will Hutton
reminds us how very little has changed
and how
we have been sold down the river
by various business leaders
many of whom appeared in
that
business leader’s letter
encouraging us to vote Tory
But
a glimmer
The Banking Standards Board
it’s job to promote
“high standards of behaviour and competence”
perhaps
and another
Maybe?
